The Challenge
The Aqua Park in Essex is one of the biggest attractions for families.
Set beside Lakeside Shopping Centre, the Aqua Park includes over 40 inflatable obstacles that include giant slides, monkey bars, blast bags and balance beams.
London + Culture Calling working in partnership with their AEN partners, SLB Distribution, were briefed with raising awareness and ticket sales to the park during the summer of 2022.
Whilst the park has a great reputation and doesn’t suffer direct competition, it competes with many other family attractions in the region so keeping up awareness was high on the agenda.
The Strategy
The awareness campaign centered on print marketing. Specifically, print display in a widespread Southern geographical area including:
- London Villages (South East)
- Cambridgeshire
- Bedfordshire
- Northamptonshire
- Essex
- Kent
- Bristol
- Cardiff
- Newport
There was a heavy bias to targeting Families in each county.
The Results
Visitor numbers were up and awareness was high across their peak season.
